Marcia Thompson M.Ed., MSE., L.P.C.
As the Founder of CCM Counseling & Wellness for over 34 years I have been blessed and honored.
My Master’s Degree in Education and Counseling (M.Ed./M.S.E.) has allowed me the opportunity to be a teacher and a counselor. I have found my greatest joy as a Christian Counselor for it has allowed me to incorporate scripture and prayer with the experience and knowledge I have gained over the years.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, I work with individuals, couples, and children dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, eating disorders and relationship issues.
Added to my blessings I have had the opportunity to lead yearly women’s retreats and speak for many community groups. I am trained in Level I and Level II of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma issues.
I have also been trained by Dr. Joanne May, of the Family Attachment Center in Minnesota, and Dr. Brian Post, of the Post Institute, in Reactive Attachment Disorders (RAD). My work in this area honored me with a STAR Award from the National Attach Group, in October 2001.
I have written two books: “Feeling Good About Me” which helps children deal with their emotions. The “Circles of Life” which is a Christian counseling method that helps identify universal thinking patterns that greatly affect our relationships with God, others, and self. I am deeply grateful for God’s calling to be a Christian Counselor and all the wonderful people I have had the privilege to work with.
