Attitude of Gratitude
Did you hear about the man who gave up his seat on the bus to a woman? She was so surprised, she fainted. When she came to, she thanked the man — and he fainted. Sometimes it takes an exaggeration to make a point, doesn’t it? Simple expressions of gratitude, appreciation, and thankfulness are so rare that they shock us when we experience them. We all can find things to be grateful for. Someone once said, “If you can’t be thankful for what you have, be thankful for what you’ve escaped.” The Bible has a simple suggestion, give thanks in all things.
Gratitude is a great attitude to develop. It makes us more content, more generous, and more in touch with our loving creator who wants to bless us abundantly. Thanksgiving seems like a great time to put our attitude of gratitude plan into action! You know it — we are grateful for YOU!
